Your children had a great time all week long with all the activities that were scheduled for Red Ribbon Week. And of course, Halloween and the costumes were the highlight of the week. Thank you for all of your cooperation and support during this very busy week.
Now we are into November. Friday will be a minimum day as we have the all-school Mass at 8:15. Dismissal is at 12:30. Next week, November 10-November 14 will be conference week. The book fair will also be held during that week.
In Reading we have started Level 3. We continue to work on vocabulary, cause and effect, plurals, possessives, sequencing, comprehension, the ed, ing, and s endings, digraphs, short vowels, and categories. You can help your child at home by asking questions about the story that they are reading. Any kind of question is good. In Math we continue to do addition and subtraction facts. We also work on word problems. In Science we are talking about weather and the 4 seasons. In Social Studies we are going to start a unit on the Native Americans. In P.E. we are starting a bean bag unit. In Religion we continue to learn about the saints.
