This the big weekend of the Follies. An assortment of people have been working on it, putting it together. It is bound to be entertaining. We hope to see you there.
There will be an all-school Mass on Friday, April 3, with dismissal at 12:30. Curriculum remains pretty much the same. In Math we are now working on money and it is very helpful if you spend time with your child counting out different groups of coins. This is expected of them in the classroom and on their worksheets. We are also covering a nutrition unit in Science. This will be our last list of vocabulary words. From then on it is review. Some of your children need to be reviewing vocabulary words on a nightly basis.
A few reminders:
Please check your child's folder and backpack for homework.
Please look over your child's work packet that goes home on Friday.
Please sign any papers that come home and need to be signed and returned.
Please sit with your child while he/she reads the book that goes home in the reading packet and sign and return.
Uniforms are not to be worn if ripped, torn, or they have holes in them.
Please read and sign the planner.

MARCH 23-MARCH 27
We enjoyed seeing all of you last week at conferences. We are now on the home stretch. Please remind your children to put forth their best effort as we move toward the end of the year. Please remember to check your child's planner and to sign it.
Curriculum remains the same however, we will be introducing money and time in math.
The 8th grade dinner show will be held on Tuesday evening at 6:00. Tickets are still available. It will be a fun evening.

MARCH 16-MARCH 20
We are looking forward to seeing you at conferences this week. This is a good time to sign and return your child's report card. We have a full day on Monday, but the rest of the week dismissal is at 12:30.
In Reading we are now on Level 5. We continue to work on vocabulary, ed and ing endings, compound words, contractions, short vowels, long vowel a and e, nouns, verbs, summarizing, categories, sequencing, main idea, characters, and comprehension.
In math we are working on shapes and solid figures and will be learning about the line of symmetry. In science we will be working on nutrition. In social studies we are working on how times have changed from long ago. In P.E. we are in a dance unit. In religion we are studying about the Stations of the Cross.

MARCH 9-MARCH 13
We hope your children enjoyed seeing Clifford the Big Red Dog on Friday. It was a surprise and a real treat for all of them. They also enjoyed hearing a couple of Clifford stories. The end of the 3rd quarter was on Friday. Report cards will be going out on Friday, March 13. You may keep them until conferences and may return them signed at that time. The Daughters of St. Paul will be here on Tuesday, March 10 for a one-day Pauline Book Fair event.
On Wednesday, Mrs. Mills' class will be going to Park Merced for a prayer service and Stations of the Cross. They will be attending with Mrs. Keeler's eighth grade. On Friday, March 13, they will again be presenting the Stations of the Cross for the entire school. You are all invited to attend. It will begin around 8:15.
The Spring program is on Wednesday evening at 7:00. Mrs. Mills' class will be performing. A note went home on Friday giving all the information. Please have your child in the classroom by 6:45. Thank you.
