We are into our final week before our Christmas vacation. If you have not sent in a wrapped toy or the flour, sugar or salt please do so this week. All of these items will be going to the "Spirit of Christmas" dinner that is put on every year. Thank you to all of you that have already sent them in. Another reminder that dismissal is at 12:30 on Friday and there will be no Extended Care that day. Please make sure your children are picked up. Thank you.
There will be no spelling test this week for the first graders. Mrs. Bellini's class will be presenting the Advent prayer on Thursday and Mrs. Mills' class will be presenting the Advent prayer on Friday. All are invited to attend.

DECEMBER 8-DECEMBER 12
We are now in the busy season of Advent. Monday, December 8, is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Mrs. Mills' first grade is in charge of planning the mass. We invite all of you to attend. Mrs. Mills' first graders will be doing the readings, bringing up the gifts and singing. Everyone will be participating in some way. We hope to see you there. Mass is at 8:15.
Please remember to send in your flour, sugar, or salt for the needy families. Mrs. Carroll has already been by to pick some of it up. Another reminder is the toy drive. Bring your wrapped gift to the classrooms. Remember this year at OLM we are concentrating on service to the community. These are two great ways in which to participate.
A big thank you to all the parents that helped with the Indian Pow Wow. We think it was a great success and we know the children thoroughly enjoyed it. We hope you did too. Another thank you to all of you that drove to The Nutcracker. Your help was greatly appreciated.
The Christmas program is Wednesday evening at St. Patrick's at 7:00. It is one great way to get into the Christmas spirit. Please come and enjoy. Our OLM band will also be entertaining us prior to the program.
The curriculum remains the same. Please continue to review vocabulary words at home.
