I hope you have been enjoying your Easter break. When we get back from Easter break my first grade class will be going on their field trip to the Challenger Learning Center on Wednesday, April 18. Lunch is being provided and it should be a fun day for all. Free dress is allowed.
The first grades will be responsible for the First Communion reception on Saturday, April 21, at St. Patrick's Church. A note will be going home on Monday so you know what you are expected to send to school. I need 2 moms to help serve on Saturday. I am also in need of 2 moms who will transport the cookies and soda over to the church on Friday morning, April 20, and to get things set up for Saturday. If you can help out please let me know. We have finished all vocabulary words. The Level 5 Reading Assessment will be given within the next couple of weeks. The math timed tests that will begin on Monday will be subtraction facts starting with whole numbers up to 18. In Math we will begin double digit addition and then go into double digit subtraction. Thank you to all who participated in our Social Studies unit by sharing their job with our first graders. It was greatly appreciated.
