We have a very busy week this week. On Wednesday we will be going to Park Merced for a prayer service and Stations of the Cross. Then on Friday we go to Emeritus and the Hampshire for a prayer service and Stations of the Cross. On Friday morning at 8:00 the first grade and 8th grade will be presenting the Stations of the Cross for the school. I do hope you can all attend. I will be sending a note home to let you know about times for driving. Thank you for all of your support.
The Follies will be held on Friday evening at 7:30 at Golden Valley High. They will be presented again on Saturday at 2:00 and at 7:30 in the evening. The Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday morning at the Parish Hall. It begins at 7:00 and ends at noon. Hope to see you there.
In Language Arts we continue to work on vocabulary, cause and effect, sequencing, contractions, compound words, digraphs, short and vowel sounds, endings of s, ed, and ing, possessives, summarizing, blends, problem solving, following directions and comprehension. In Math we begin a unit on time. Our timed tests will be mixed addition and subtraction. In Science we are learning about matter. In Social Studies we are learning about map skills and the land around us. In P.E. we are working with bean bags. In Religion we are learning about the Stations of the Cross and Holy Week. This is our last vocabulary list. Can you believe it?
