JANUARY 11-JANUARY 15

We had a great first week back after Christmas vacation. Your children were great workers and seemed happy to be back. Report cards went home on Friday. Please sign them and return them by Friday, January 15. A permission slip will be going home this week for the Catholic Schools Mass at St. Patrick's Church. Please sign it and return as soon as possible. Thank you. There will be a safe environment training session on Wednesday, January 13, at 6:00 in the auditorium. This may be the last training session for the year.

Curriculum remains the same. This quarter I will begin unannounced spelling tests with the words they have already had. Your children should be able to spell the spelling words at any time correctly. This grade will be included in their overall spelling grade. I will also begin dictation sentences as part of their spelling grade. The entire sentence must be correct in order to get the extra point.

We have begun subtraction facts on timed math tests. Please work on the math facts at home. Math facts, both addition and subtraction, should be worked on nightly.

Remember we do not have school on Monday, January 18, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. If you have read this blog have your child write on a piece of paper what the predicted high temperature for Monday will be according to weather reports. Have a great week. GOD LOVES YOU!
