JANUARY 7- JANUARY 11

Happy New Year 2008!

We both hope your holiday season was a holy and happy one. As we begin this new year let us remember to keep Jesus Christ first in our lives.

We have finished the second quarter and report cards will go home on Friday. This is a good time to remind your child the importance of doing their best work at all times. It is also a time to talk about their behavior and effort, both inside the classroom and outside the classroom.

A reminder: 12:30 dismissal on Friday.

In Reading we will be introducing the short u sound. We continue to work on sequencing, cause and effect, categories, blends, digraphs, predictions, vocabulary words and comprehension. In Science we will be studying about the seasons and weather. We will be learning about our country, the United States, in Social Studies. In Religion we will be discussing the liturgical calendar and the life of Jesus.
